Kampala, Uganda, October 4, 2024 — The Ellison Outreach Foundation, a US based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to uplifting communities and alleviating poverty through innovative outreach and sustainability programs, is proud to announce its official registration as a global NGO in Uganda. With this milestone, the Foundation is set to expand its humanitarian and development initiatives throughout East Africa. Plans are already underway to register in Kenya and Tanzania by the end of this year.

As a registered NGO in Uganda, The Ellison Foundation is uniquely positioned to address critical challenges faced by the region, including food insecurity, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment. The Foundation is focused on creating community-driven solutions that combine agriculture, conservation, and education to foster long-term development.

“We are thrilled to take this significant step in expanding our global presence,” said Allen Ellison, Chairman of The Ellison Outreach Foundation. “Uganda is an important gateway for our efforts to support families and local communities through sustainable farming, environmental preservation, and economic empowerment. As we continue to grow, our goal is to create an even greater impact across East Africa by collaborating with governments and local partners in Kenya and Tanzania.”

The Foundation’s flagship initiatives in Uganda will include:

  • Farming & Food Security: Launching agricultural projects that provide local communities with the tools and resources needed to combat food insecurity and generate sustainable income.
  • Environmental Conservation: Establishing nature reserves to protect the country’s rich biodiversity while promoting eco-tourism and sustainable land use.
  • Educational Programs: Offering mentorship, financial literacy, and scholarships to empower youth and families, fostering the next generation of leaders.

With Uganda as its first operational base in East Africa, The Ellison Foundation will soon bring its Feeding Hungry Children, Medical Aid to Africa, and nature preservation programs to Kenya and Tanzania, strengthening regional collaboration on social and environmental issues. These efforts align with the Foundation’s mission to drive inclusive growth and create resilient, thriving communities.

The Foundation is also engaged in acquiring land in Uganda to develop a sustainable farming initiative and nature reserve around Lake Victoria. This project will serve as a model for balancing agricultural productivity with environmental preservation and will play a key role in the Foundation’s long-term vision for the region.

“As we prepare to expand our operations to Kenya and Tanzania, we are focused on building strong partnerships with local communities and governments to ensure the success of our projects. Our commitment to alleviating poverty and protecting the environment is stronger than ever, and we look forward to contributing to the prosperity of East Africa,” said Ellison.

The registration in Kenya and Tanzania will further solidify The Ellison Foundation’s status as a truly global NGO, capable of making meaningful contributions to sustainable development in Africa and beyond. As the Foundation continues to grow, it remains dedicated to creating a world where communities are empowered to thrive through innovative programs, sustainable practices, and strategic partnerships.
