Dr. Diana Clarke Speaks to Pace Center for Girls
Dr. Diana Clarke, spoke at Pace Center for Girls, her speech focused on Risk Factors for Delinquency and Criminal Activities. She encouraged them to not allow these risk factors to cripple their future, but to become proactive instead of reactive. She shared her personal story on her childhood trauma and the strategic tools she used to overcome them. She challenged our girls to Identify who they are and their full potential, set values and goals, and commit themselves to be self-resilient while working towards achieving their goals, because they have the capacity to foster their own changes for self-improvement. Dr. Clarke also gave three copies of her book, Moving Forward: You, Like Me, Can Overcome, to the school’s library. The students and staffs were very attentive, receptive, and appreciative.
